I’ve transported myself to another era! I’m delighted 😍 You can see the spark in the eyes of the fans at the sight of Porsches, the iconic Escort, Legacy, Megane, Lady, or Trabant. The atmosphere among the Millers Oils HRSMP competitors is wonderful, all super gentlemen’s!
Porsche is a real rally car, here nothing assists the driver and our 911 has no shortage of power 😉 The routes of the Świdnicki Rally allowed us to see the potential of this car. It might sound trivial to a driver with such experience, but I really have a lot to learn about this car and work on it more 😎
Meet my almost peer, a Generation X colleague 😉 It demands more than modern generations, but repays the favor with a whole range of “analogue” driving experiences.
This season, on the routes of the historic Polish and European rally championships, we will be accompanied by the sound of a 3-litre engine installed at the rear of a Group 4 Porsche 911 3.0 SC!
For the time being, after taking a break again and breaking out of a rallying rhythm, I don’t feel ready to return to the top category in the newest constructions. I want to enjoy rallying again. I hope that competing in this great classic will allow me to do so.
A one in a kind event is behind us, in many ways reminiscent of Wiślak himself. It was a privilege to meet a legend and childhood idol like Maciej Wislawski, especially in the year when he celebrates his 80th birthday and 50th year as a rally driver.🥳
Both my dad, Andrzej Lubiak, and thanks to him – myself, had the pleasure of belonging to Wiślak’s crew. Everyone who shared with us this opportunity, values it as a lesson on how to rally and indeed, how to live. Remember: “Use a spoon, not a ladle.”
Before my return to racing, I resolved to first recall how to drive a rally car 😁 How could I choose anything but the iconic family car, Fiat 126p Group 2, or my dad for co-pilot, or any other team but Kumiega Racing? And what better conditions than ice, snow, and sun? 😉
Though the first Fiat 126p rolled off the production line before I was even born, it’s with this car that my fascination with motorsport began – owing it in large part to the successes of Andrzej Lubiak and Maciej Wisławski, piloting a stock “Maluch” to victory.
Years later, it is with fondness and great joy that I sit behind the wheel of a Fiat, taking turns with my dad as we compete in the Historic Ice Trophy. The event has become our cherished family tradition 😊 and this year, we secured a spot on the podium 🏆 See for yourself ️📽
Endorphins are good for you, and rallying is how I get mine. Even a little more of them (as in life) = happiness. However, I need to listen to both myself and those wiser than me and wait a while longer before a full return to racing.

When good health returns “I will be back for more”.
It’s good to be back in the seat of a rally car, and especially on the gravel roads that I haven’t driven on since last July. A weekend of intensive training is behind us: Friday’s test runs and the start of the Warmia Rally. This can mean only one thing – the Rally of Poland | It’s getting closer and closer 😎.
Although today’s 50 kilometers of the special stage is less than 30% of the length of the entire Polish round of the FIA ERC (European Rally Championship) we left Olsztyn with Grzegorz Dachowski (co-driver) with a sense of a job well done. First of all, such rallies are a great way to test different settings and tires. But I won’t hide the fact that it was nice to place 2nd in overall ranking. After this break in rallies, appearing on the ramp tastes downright delicious, and my appetite is growing 😉.
Today, for the first time in my life, I was to put a #️⃣2️⃣ sticker on the car in a round of RSMP.pl… but unfortunately due to health reasons I have to withdraw from Świdnica Rally 😔
This time, in preparation for RSMP.pl 2023 season, we participated in the first round of Tarmac Masters 💥.
In the vicinity of Nowa Ruda we went through a true baptism of fire, as some sections were completely covered with sand and mud. The sections were in a bad shape after the winter, and the morning sleet did not make our task any easier ❄️💦. Hardcore rally vibes – see for yourself in the photos📸.
I hope we’ve exhausted our quota of flatties for the quarter 😉. It was good to go through the starting procedure again, stretch the muscles and hear the voice of Grzegorz Dachowski (co driver) in the headphones. See you in Swidnica 👋
